About Me

Washington, DC, United States
Heather Capell Bramble is mother of two kaleidoscoping kids, Jonah and Vera. She has a magical kaleidoscope, often in her back pocket, and it usually helps her turn her normally chaotic life into something beautiful. Her goal is to have as much fun and try to be as happy as they can while on the uncharted journey of motherhood. This means doing lots of arts and crafts, going on crazy adventures, and celebrating all kinds of holidays - and yes, trying to laugh along the way!

Dinner & A Movie

Saturday night we had our Chinese Lunar New Year Feast (just like it described in one of our books...)  Since reading the books, Jonah & Vera have been obsessed with using chopsticks to eat - so we ordered in some of our favorite Chinese food from Mei Wah in Bethesda and I busted out my fancy chopsticks - we invited Auntie C over as well, and it was a party!

Jonah & Vera thought the chopsticks were super silly!  They both got their own fortune cookies and thought that getting little secret messages in the cookies was hysterical!

After dinner we all sat down for Disney's Mulan!  It was quite the evening... although I sorta forgot how much "violence" there is in the movie - lots of fighting and war-ing...  as if Jonah needs any more of that to model... However, we have now adopted the "True to your heart" theme song for our morning dance party!

Just another Saturday night looking through our kaleidoscope!
