About Me

Heather Capell Bramble is mother of two kaleidoscoping kids, Jonah and Vera. She has a magical kaleidoscope, often in her back pocket, and it usually helps her turn her normally chaotic life into something beautiful. Her goal is to have as much fun and try to be as happy as they can while on the uncharted journey of motherhood. This means doing lots of arts and crafts, going on crazy adventures, and celebrating all kinds of holidays - and yes, trying to laugh along the way!

Playing with our food!

or next to the place where the food is being served...

This past Sunday we went on an actualbBrunch date at an actual restaurant with actual other people... all four of us went...

I think this was the first restaurant group experience with other people (that we were not related to) in a really long time.  It actually went pretty well.

We were supposed to go to brunch at Meridian Pint in Columbia Heights but when we got there there was a 45 minute wait... that was so not going to happen.  But then i pulled out my kaleidoscope - and remembered NOT-SO-SAHM had done a post about The Coupe and the Turnaround Trolley playground right across the street so we had Plan B!  Thanks NOT-SO-SAHM! (U R THE BEST!)

AS promised by NOT-SO-SAHM, The Coupe said they would text us when the table was ready so we hurried over to the playground!  SUPER SCORE!  Jonah & Vera were totally happy to running around in the sun on the playground!

The Coup texted us within 15 minutes and we saddled up for brunch.  The food was good.  The service was sorta slow but overall not a bad excursion.

Jonah  I headed back to the playground while the rest of our crew finished up and then they joined us back on the playground.  The super convenient playground made the whole morning pretty awesome.

It was also wonderful to be able to go out with our friends to a hip restaurant with the kids.  Thank you buddies for being so understanding of our wacky toddlers... they (as do we) love you lots!

In other news, we decided to give Nana & Pop an amazing Valentine's Day present and we are heading off to Florida for a week tomorrow.  We will have plenty of updates when we get back!

Have a good week and talk to you soon!
