6th NIght - Dreidel Painting, Playing & More

I can not write about the stuff that happened this past Friday in Connecticut.  I don't know what to write - it was horrible and makes me sick - when I think about it I want to throw up.  Maybe one day soon I will, but for now... I am taking the easy way out and writing about the last nights of Chanukah... life affirming positive stuff that involves spending time with family and friends, eating, laughing and playing... that is what my kaleidoscope tells me I should do...

Last Thursday was the sixth night of Chanukah.  We had our Germantown buddies over for some Chanukah Menorah lighting and dreidel painting!  And of course lots of playing and eating way too many sugary treats... it was Chanukah!

Because they are so super cool, they arrived with arms full of presents, good food and great attitudes!

The kids were all excited and running around.  We gathered them up for some dreidel & candle painting... you know, put out some paper all over the table., add a bunch of dreidels and candles, put out the new finger paints you just got for chanukah - voila - dreidel and candle painting...

Jonah & Vera were totally into it.

Jonah's buddy wasn't so much - he was way more into playing with Jonah's toys - specifically Jonah's train table and trains!

Jonah's good buddy's mom - she was totally into the painting and made a hand print menorah!  Yeah for her!

It was fun,

Then we cleaned up and had a yummy dinner.  Some candle lighting and exchanging of presents and everyone was ready for desert! Cupcakes, gelt, lollipops, - oiy vey!

Lots of running and playing and laughing filled the house!

A good sixth night!  Thank you Germantown buddies for being so awesome!
