About Me

Washington, DC, United States
Heather Capell Bramble is mother of two kaleidoscoping kids, Jonah and Vera. She has a magical kaleidoscope, often in her back pocket, and it usually helps her turn her normally chaotic life into something beautiful. Her goal is to have as much fun and try to be as happy as they can while on the uncharted journey of motherhood. This means doing lots of arts and crafts, going on crazy adventures, and celebrating all kinds of holidays - and yes, trying to laugh along the way!

The Tale of the Fornicating Furniture...

We moved into the new house and we bought a futon for the playroom.  It is a nice futon.  Chocolatey brown micro suede cover.  A little fancy, in that it is a full size bed, love seat with and extra frame piece and pillow.  Compact and sexy.  Yesterday, a brand new leather Hazelnut Lay-z-Boy Recliner Rocker showed up.  We weren't sure how Lay-z-Boy was going to get along with Fancy Futon.  We figured we'd have to wait and see.

This morning we woke up and low and behold... apparently they like each a lot.  So much so that they managed to multiply over night.  (I hear the gestation period for upholstered furniture is only a few hours)  They had (or maybe adopted - we didn't ask) twins!  Jonah & Vera were very excited!  I mean super excited.  I mean they were regular excited when Lay-z-Boy showed up, today just put them over the edge!

(Thanks to Pop Pop for sending us Lay-z-Boy!  And mama for insisting on the twins!)

We were ecstatic when the chair arrived...

We know it is Pop Pop's - but he said we can play on it for as long as we want!

It rocks!

who is back there?

Does it fly like the space shuttle...

Finally my own chair!!! Whoop whoop!

Dancing in my old chair with a new cover!  It all matches!!!

Now this is too much fun!  So much to climb and jump on!  This is what a playroom should be!

Watching our before bed shows!  Archie and Edith Bunker had nothing on us!
