About Me

Washington, DC, United States
Heather Capell Bramble is mother of two kaleidoscoping kids, Jonah and Vera. She has a magical kaleidoscope, often in her back pocket, and it usually helps her turn her normally chaotic life into something beautiful. Her goal is to have as much fun and try to be as happy as they can while on the uncharted journey of motherhood. This means doing lots of arts and crafts, going on crazy adventures, and celebrating all kinds of holidays - and yes, trying to laugh along the way!

Stopping by Suprasensorial!

As we left the Mall yesterday, we walked by the Hirschorn Museum.  We had Shabbot there a few weeks ago and saw Song 1 - it was very cool (see here).  They have another exhibit that everyone has been raving about - it was extended until August 12.  It is called Suprasensorial and it is very hands-on and thus super kid friendly for a fancy art museum.  After our "moment" at the quilt and Jonah's recognition that the quilt was "art" I figured - let's just go for it.  The car was literally right in front of the musuem.  Worst case scenario we'll just go home.

We had a blast.  Jonah was spiderman.  Vera was in awe. The only thing that was wrong was that Vera did not want to get back into her stroller each time I took her out and Jonah did not want to leave... he loved it!

It is all about light and color.  And in the middle there is one part that is just these blue strings and you are supposed to walk through.  Better than a playground with a swirly slide - Vera was cackling in delight and Jonah was narrating a fairly complicated and complex super hero scenario...
