About Me

Washington, DC, United States
Heather Capell Bramble is mother of two kaleidoscoping kids, Jonah and Vera. She has a magical kaleidoscope, often in her back pocket, and it usually helps her turn her normally chaotic life into something beautiful. Her goal is to have as much fun and try to be as happy as they can while on the uncharted journey of motherhood. This means doing lots of arts and crafts, going on crazy adventures, and celebrating all kinds of holidays - and yes, trying to laugh along the way!

A Spin & Smoosh Summer Sunday

For the first time in a really long time, Vera (and then Jonah) had me up all night last night...  as in from 2am - with no going back to bed....

It was still way too hot today - all day...

I did not get dressed...

We watched way too much TV again...

I can not wait for tomorrow... Monday... camp...

We were all going a little stir crazy today...

We brought back an oldie but goodie...

SPIN ART and SMOOSH ART

STARS!!!  In red, white and blue... to get us ready for July 4th ofcourse...

The time spent on making these stars was the best time spent today... in my opinion.  Both kids were into it.  No complaining. And they pretty much listened... then it was bath time and dinner time and more TV...

Then finally sleep time...  praying they sleep through the night tonight...

smoosh art: put paint on table, then smoosh the previously cut out shape (from card stock) into paint...

spin art: put previously cut out shape from card stock in the salad spinner, put paint on shape, spin the spinner...
